When looking at how to strike your opponent where he has little or no defense, the first skill that we need to acquire is Target Acquisition. By target acquisition we mean the ability to see and recognize a path to an area which can be most affected by our blow. There are several recognized target areas on the human body. The head, abdomen, groin, joints, neck, and the soft fleshy areas of the back come immediately to mind. Areas which make poorer targets are the more heavily muscled areas like thighs and biceps even though they can be damaged by strikes.
